Project summary
The objective was to obtain an assessment of the flood risks in N’Djamena and identify, in a participatory way, potential measures and infrastructure investments to reduce the risks. This work was expected to provide a framework for supporting urban flood disaster and climate resilience measures. It detailed a well-balanced set of structural and non-structural flood risk management options for the city of N’Djamena and its water basins.

Development of joint scenarios for urban and demographic development.
Multicriteria prioritization of intervention zones (damage by types of issues, exposure, and socio-economic resilience of populations).
Cost-benefit and multicriteria analysis of different adaptation strategies.
Consideration of co-benefits provided by nature-based solutions.
Implementation of an interactive online dashboard for result visualization (via Power BI).
